We'd read some not-so-impressed reviews before booking, but as it was one of the cheapest rooms in Paris that we could find online, we decided to go with it anyway. As we were visiting Paris as part of a cruise, we only had about 26 hours total in Paris and wanted to make the most of it. The hotel was right across from the Saint Denise metro station, which made getting around the city a breeze. It was a really small hotel....it seemed like maybe 5 or so rooms on each floor, but our room had everything we needed, and was decorated and wallpapered to look super chic. The lift took FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR so we ended up taking the cute little spiral staircase to our third floor room most of the time, but a little exercise never killed anyone. They also have a Turkish bath that was complimentary with an hours notice but we didn't have time to check it out. The only thing that wasn't perfect about this hotel was that we didn't realize the breakfast wasn't included with our room. There was a little breakfast nook on the main floor with croissants, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausages, etc. and it was fine.....we each ate a little just to get something in our bellies before we hit the town. When we went to check out the lady mentioned breakfast and charged us each....I think like 14 euros....whatever it was, it ended up being $41 CAD on my visa statement when I got home! My advice, totally stay at this hotel, but skip the breakfast and go eat somewhere else.....there wasn't enough food at the entire breakfast bar if we'd eaten all of it and left none behind, to be worth $41!!
