“Pleasant stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

Hotel Audran is about 5 minutes away from Abbesse metro and is accessible to most attractions in Paris The hotel staff were knowledgeable and one of them (Aini, though the name might be spelt incorrectly) even assisted us to change to a more spacious and comfortable twin room on the 6th level, which didn't bother us as there was an elevator. Like other reviewers had mentioned, don't expect immaculate furniture fittings and hotel-like amenites, but for those looking for a reasonably-priced accomodation, this could be an option. Although for light sleepers, be warned of the rowdiness at night. Afterall you are staying in the heart of Montmare!

Just returned from a weekend break in Paris. Montmartre is beautiful and quaint. Definitely the best area to stay. Hotel Audran is ok if you are going for a 2/3 night stay, but no more. It's very clean but needs some refurbishment. The stairs to each floor are uneven and in need of repair. In the rooms it's small things like no knob on the wardrobe (which is actually a cupboard with shelves and hangers on the very bottom), the safe didn't work, the toilet was loose from the wall, and there was no stopper in the washbasin. If these minor things were corrected and it was given a lick of paint to spruce the rooms up, it would make all the difference. The shower was excellent, very powerful and staff were pleasant and helpful.

The rooms were nice, location is awesome. The front desk people were rather indifferent, but perhaps I'm just used to north american service. I had to do some work while in Paris and the wifi was absolutely terrible - even in the hotel lobby. Skype calls will just not work - be warned. No soap or shampoo in the room. Basically good value for such an excellent location - metro is just a 2min walk away, tons of cafes/bakeries/and bistros - Monmartre is my favourite part of Paris I think.

Room Tip: The windows facing the street can be a bit loud - bistros and busy street below.

We were 2 friends on a girlies trip visiting in June, found the room clean, quiet, sufficiently big. Bathroom spotless and well equipped. Staff very very friendly but mostly its the most excellent location in the middle of the Montmatre area in a quiet street but right in the middle of action and close to metrostations. Would definitely recommend it!

The place is very accessible to transportation and the room is clean. the staff also are considerate enough as we arrived at the hotel very early from the check-in time. yet they still provide us with room, without extra charge.

It's not a terrible place if you just need to crash down for a night. The location is fairly good, the rooms are clean. But they they do have a cheapish decor and then there is the issue of noise coming from the bar downstaris and from the street. Wi-fi is free but mostly does not really work.

We have stayed there for three nights in August 2013. Let me start with the chief complaint - the street noise. There is no A/C in the room, so we had had to keep the windows open at night. The music at the bar downstairs stops around 2 am, trash and recycle collecting trucks start coming around 5 am. This is three hours of uninterrupted sleep. We would wake up at this point and shut the windows, then return back to sleep for another three hours. If I am traveling to Paris in summer again, I would stay somewhere else.

Now, the good things:
The price is very reasonable
Location is convenient - 5-10 minutes to three metro stops on two lines (Abbesses and Blanche are the closest. Don't repeat my mistake and take the elevator at Abbesses if you are coming with luggage), lots of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, quite a few boutiques too.
Surroundings are nice and lively. We liked the view from the room and the historic streets of Montmartre were just a few steps away.
There is an elevator in the building.
Wi-fi is included and works OK.
Staff is helpful.
The room was basic, the bathroom was recently renovated and clean.
Hotel serves breakfast in the morning, we didn't try it.
