Walked by this corner neighborhood restaurant between lunch and dinner and though we glanced at the chalkboard menu, just didn't think to go back. On our second to last night, tired, hungry and just wanting a good honest meal we decided to try it because of someone's else's review on eggplant parmesan. While we didn't see that, the plat du jour caught our eye. Grilled lamb chops, polenta, and mushrooms. Perfect, we ordered two, and a pichet of rose to start. Served in the right amount of time (even with a full house) the chops were devine, the polenta smooth w/a homemade clump or two (making you feel at home) and crazy mushrooms I've seen but never bought to try. The juice from the lamb just added to the flavor. We finished with what has to be some of the best ice cream in Paris. Tried chocolate, lemon, and cafe. So rich and creamy we went back the next night an sat outside just to have ice cream and coffee as we watched the night envelope the Pantheon. A perfect last night in Paris. Looking over other plates as they were served, I don't think you could go wrong with any item. Friendly service. Comforting food. Easy to find. enjoy!
