“A sincere recommendation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Three of us arrived at this restaurant on a very busy evening without a reservation. Nothing was too much trouble as they found us a table. The food was delicious. One of our party is a vegetarian and this is not easy to cater for in France but they did everything they could to satisfy her demands. We go regularly to Paris and would certainly go there again and recommend it our friends.

“French Restaurant - Could be much improved”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Ambiance is very nice. Service was friendly, although not quite as attentive as I would have liked. We ordered the filet with foie gras, and an entrecote steak. Neither of the steaks was very tender. The foie gras was very tasty. The sauces tasted very parve, which you would not expect, since the goal in a restaurant like this should be to make you believe you're eating a real sauce with cream -- otherwise, just use a sauce with a different base.

Maybe it's because we're spoiled, dining often in Israel's finest kosher restaurants, but the main course was disappointing. At the table next to us, they ordered profiteroles, and they were unable to eat them. If you can't make a good ice cream substitute, make something else!

There were three half bottles of red wines on the menu, but I was told that they only had one of them, so that's what I ordered. Then I was told that they were out of that too. If you're going to serve a fine French meal, don't run out of the wines!

Location is great, and there is a lot of potential, but we have eaten in much better kosher restaurants in Los Angeles, Israel, and Marseille.

“excellent kosher meat restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

The meat in this restaurant is superb. The restaurant is very pretty right near the Israel Embassy. Nice crowd for a kosher restaurant. No kids the night I was there. The menu is limited. Foie Gras served many ways was delicious. The steak was very good. Lamb chops delicious if a bit overcooked. Deserts were disappointing. But if you don't want meat you should go somewhere else. Barely a chicken or fish in sight.
