“This is an excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

My husband brought me to Paris to propose at the Tour Eiffel in March 2003. We stayed at the Campanile Hotel. It was just across the street from the Metro. We toured all over Paris, including Versailles. The Hotel is very clean and the meals are EXCELLENT. The breakfasts are wonderful and the evening meals are also very good. I thought that Paris was going to be too expensive but I really enjoyed this hotel. We also went back to the same hotel in 2005 with a tour of the Shrines of France. Again, we had great service and an excellent stay. So if you find yourself in Paris, don't hesitate to go to the Campanile.

Room Tip: We stayed in 607.

The campanile hotel...Is not a bad hotel the staff is very kind and got us all in our rooms in a quickly manor. I went with a tour group to Paris so there ws a good 20 to 30 adults adn students together. Our trip was great I loved it. The rooms was very clean as a housekeeper from America I looked at all that type of stuff... Both the bathroom and the bedroom was very clean. I would stay here again if I would go back and I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Also they have a nice restaurant in the hotel... Since we stayed as a group we did pay for our breakfast and we didn't eat dinner there because we was out and bout then. But I think you have to pay for most things. The food is delicious! I got hookedon there on yogurt and I have to look for it here in the us... Oh if you go to Paris defenitly try escargo snails!best thing I have ever tasted! Great(:

Very close for Eurostar arrivals and metro immediately opposite. Lovely local shops for foodie snacks and drinks. Room perfectly adequate - good double bed, nice bathroom, plenty pillows and towels. Bar available downstairs - but hey this is Paris, go out!!! If you fancy a change there are many authentic Indian/Tamil restaurants nearby. Staff so not in your face, but helpful if approached. Breakfast fine, coffee and tea in room, nice atmosphere, some traffic noise but not a problem.

Room Tip: Ask for a double bed if you want one, preferably before you arrive.

Small clean room. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Very close to Metro. Free Wi-Fi. Will store luggage when you arrive early or after check out. Referred restaurant Chez Papas around the corner where I had the best French meal of the trip. Veal, mushrooms, cheese, scalloped potatoes in a big pot. Enough to feed 4 for about $20.

Just like a Travelodge, clean room and bathroom. Clean towels and bedsheets. Location is great as it is walking distance to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est. Would recommend as a good budget hotel.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

Rooms are VERY small. Tiny closet/shelves. 2 twin beds with 12-inch shared nite shelf between. 1 chair. No international channels on small TV (No BBC, CNN, etc) all in French only. Bathroom was modern, clean with tub/shower, nice white towels. Some air circulating thru vents, but no COLD air. Very stuffy. No inroom safe or refrigerator. Inroom WIFI was spotty and tempermental, working some but not all the time.
Breakfast buffet is good. Cereals, yogurt, fruit, cold cuts (ham & cheese). Great cold crepes! Great breads and croissants! Coffee machine dispenses wide variety of coffee, all good.

Room Tip: More like a hostel. Don't plan to spend time in room. OK as place to sleep, bathe, change if we...

The hotel is average with decent rooms and clean toilet. The airconditioner seems to be ineffective at day time. The breakfast is good and fresh. The hotel is quite far from Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is recommended to stay in this hotel if you are running on a tight budget.
