“best place in paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

If you want to find a very good hotel in Paris, that's the place to be!
Very nice restaurant, wonderful breakfast with all the best french food that you can expect.
My place when I go to Paris, like home.
The rooms are relaxing, good bed, free tv channels, bathroom not too big but enough for a week stay,
the staff is always at your service, decoration by starck is surprising but you get used to it and start to like it, in the room some furniture are funny but not very easy to use (lights!);
animation in the hotel on saturdays are good with DJ,
the area is full of bars and restaurant, very young customers, very animated on the weekends.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - really liked it. The décor was quirky with black being quite dominant. The staff were lovely and rooms were clean and well equipped. Admittedly it is a bit far from the main centre of Paris but if that doesn't bother you then it is a great place to stay. As a coeliac I'm always a bit reluctant to book a breakfast in a hotel where it is an added extra, but I was pleasantly surprised here as there were plenty of good non-gluten options available to eat. The earl grey tea here was one of the best I've ever tasted! Would definitely return.

A clean hotel with small dark rooms and dark hallways. The bathroom was too small and the shower stall does not have a door on it. Every time we showered, the floor and toilet would end up wet. The beds were comfortable. It is too far away from most of the attractions thus making it too difficult to return to the hotel midday for a quick rest. There is a bus stop a block away (76 bus). It takes you to the Louvre. Wifi was good.

Wow this was a really special hotel where I spent two nights in fantastic company. So clean, arty and fast service. Really liked it a lot. The only thing is that it is a bit far away from attractions (if that is what youre looking for...) but for us it was perfect located next to the great Pere Lachaise.

The design is sharp and intreresting. Found new details all the time. The interior in the room is modern. Bathroom clean and warm.

At night the restaurant turns into a great bar with a lot of locals which was fun.

Going back? Yes with the same person I would go again...

Love Mama Shelter and have stayed here several times usually for between one and three nights. Like the slightly 'off the beaten path' location. Love the chilled vibe and functionality of the place. Very relaxed and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

The rooms are clean, basic and with some sharp design touches which adds to the sense of functional modernity. Beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and functional.

The pizzeria in house, is also great and a nice place to pick up 'take away' for in room dining (no room service). Breakfast is good quality with a nice selection of breads, cheeses, eggs, teas, juice etc

I would always stay here if I could as it is not a fancy/pretentious place and so it makes you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. I am a fan of clean lines and functionality so the design aesthetic also works for me...now I hope I will get the chance to try the hotel they have opened in Istanbul.

Stayed again recently, it's a unique hotel and the bar / restaurant area is really nice. Everything we ate was very very good, the beer was good, wine was nice - overall this hotel is something different - in a great area near Pere Lachaise and the staff could not have been more helpful. Rooms are very nice, perfectly comfortable for a couple of nights. WIFI a bit slow.

Room Tip: Request high floor.
