Staying at a hotel on the Rue Petel we discovered a truly Parisian restaurant with unique flavors and dishes . Having just returned from museum hopping , and needing a great lunch we walked down from our hotel and found what was a very unique and delicious stop .After drinks ,they started us off with a complimentary appertif . Then for starters my wife had the beef tartare , I had the crayfish salad replete with melon and seaweed . Oh so delicious were both starters that we could have happily stopped there . Accompanied by a nice glass of French white wine we were served our entrees - a lovely veal skirt steak with a lovely creamed side of potatoes in an even lovelier brown gravy. Oh so delicious !Dessert put us over the top and we relished every bite . The service was superb , but English is left to one server who we needed to translate a cocktail but it made it all the more authentic .The layout is that of a library with a lovely wine display and many French business casuals appeared for lunch with us .Obviously well liked by the locals as well . As to cost , very very reasonable for the type and quality of food - would be great for dinner as well starting at 7:30 pm on some nights . Call ahead .Don't miss this one . Easy to find right out front on a little intersection on the Rue Petel .
