“Your average touristic place”

As expected the restaurant was in the touristic Trocadero area near the Eiffel Tower and he food was Ok. The service however was correct and the waiter spoke perfect English. A nice option for lunch though...

“Very poor service!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

My family of six visited this restaurant on our last night in Paris and wow, were we disappointed! We were seated very quickly but then waited nearly 20 minutes, watching other people who arrived after us have orders taken, served drinks and have their starter/main course delivered! Not being happy, I complained to the Maitre'd who after a few sharp words to his waiter, arranged for our tables to be laid out and order taken. We speak enough french to get by and you usually find that most waiters can speak enough English to help out. Our waiter refused to speak any English, spoke french quickly and didnt attempt to help at all. I am very much a 'when in Rome' person but this waiter was being deliberatley difficult because I had complained. Main courses were served before the entrées, food average at best and service terrible. I complained again to the Maitre'd who told me the staff were all new. He didnt lie very well and was very embarrassed!! Ps. The waiter spoke English to other diners!

“Seated relatively quickly, never saw waiter again.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013 via mobile

We were seated quite quickly, waited for over 20 minutes and didn't even get offered drinks. Can't rate other options as we left and went to le Wilson opposite with much better service.

“Our family favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

We just spent ten days in Paris and went to Cafe Kleber three times to eat. Part of the reason was because it was close to our hotel but the main reason was because all four of us enjoyed the food and we were very happy with the service. We loved the onion soup. The grilled salmon was great.

“Sad food for such a great location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Searching for a spot to eat in view of the Eiffel Tower, we chose Kleber. It seemed like a good choice, as it appeared several well-dressed locals were dining inside. Opting for an outdoor table, we ordered drinks. All was good. Then ordered dinner. Surprisingly limited options. I saw a nicely dressed couple inside eating the baked chicken, so I went with that. The baked chicken was the most unremarkable item I have ever ordered anywhere--and that includes some pretty bad sausage-pot pub food in London. Wife's pasta dish was likewise bland and oversalted. We enjoyed the meal because of where we were, but the lack of quality of food certainly was a negative on the evening. Better option would be the crepes stands at Tocodero Square.
