Husband and I took four friends that were traveling in Paris at the same time as we were. Heard about Chez Germaine here at Trip Advisor. We wanted a small, authentic neighborhood place and got exactly that! Tables for about 22 people, Richard out in dining room, lady and chef in the back. Food okay, but only average, not haute cuisine. Yes, limited menu -- but, hey, you're in Paris -- pick something and enjoy it. They were extremely helpful with my Gluten Free needs and I really enjoyed their imput. Richard is a piece of work -- doing the "French Schtick" perfectly. One of our party asked why we only had two menus for six, so Richard walked outside and brought in the menu stand and put it next to the table! We were discussing classic French singers and the girl at the next table (local woman of course!) started singing her favorite Charles Trenet song to us. Opens at 7PM, we had 7:30 reservation, Richard was turning away people by 8:00PM. Full up with locals. Small, quaint, and probably one of our best memories and stories of 8 days in Paris. Cost of 3 courses with wine for 6 people -- 130 euros. That is a deal in Paris.
