We made last minute reservations at La Cadole for last night, Friday night. The owner/server was very gracious and the food very delicious. We were seated immediately upstairs. There are two floors....all of downstairs was occupied when we arrived. The location is off the beaten track on a little side street overlooking a wine shop. Easy to find and not far from the Metro. Not touristy either which is great!
You may order a la carte or choose from the set menu which provides plenty of choices. The only thing that I found as a detraction was the ambiance and uncomfortable chairs. Small wooden chairs to each table. Loved the white linen table clothes and serviettes, but, no candles or flowers. Walls were spartan with a few small pieces of cheap art. We never eat dessert, but had to try the french toast with ice cream....absolutely out of this world!
Definitely go, because the experience is a taste of local Paris, great food and at a very good price for expensive Paris! I also love the personal touch having the owner and his wife provide wonderful food and service.
