“Really lovely medieval town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

This is really a little gem. When we visited it was very quiet, we only had a couple of hours so didn't get to see the whole town. We did climb to the top of the tour Cesar from which you could see the town laid out before you and the countryside beyond. There is a little train , similar to the ones that pick you up from the car parking at Disney world, that takes you around the town for 6€ which is a great idea for the less able. We will definitely be returning on our next trip in August, so that we can spend a full day, as we would like to see the underground gallery and the churches, it's well worth it.

“Lovely Medieval Village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

We drove up to Provins as a break from Disneyland Paris. Drive was easy an hour ish from Disney. We were not sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. A lovely medieval town with several attractions. We chose to walk around the ramparts and the streets and watch the Medieval show. Although the show was in French it was very good lots of action and very professional. Had very nice crepes for lunch in the town square not a great deal of English is spoken but we managed with our very basic French. Nice few hours for adults or families with older children.

“An Interesting Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

My wife and I recently visited the medieval town of Provins in the commune of Provins southeast of Paris. The village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and well preserved. We didn't do all of the things offered preferring instead to walk the ramparts and streets but we did make a longer stop at the Grange Dime(Tithe Barn) and really enjoyed the presentation of what the medieval trade fairs were like almost 1000 years ago. There is a lot of atmosphere and people reside and work in the town(similar to the approach at Williamsburg) .

“Provins - Medieval walled city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

Very interesting, very old, 12 - 13 century buldings. The city of the Rose. If you have the time, go visit Provins, you won't be disappointed. Visit the church, the museum, the castle/prison, it's a look back in medieval time. There are restaurants, shops, ATM. Many tours & show events.
In the town square there is a potter where you can bring home a small keepsake from Provins. Bring a comfortabe pair of walking shoes, so you can enjoy the whole town
