I had spend months booking this hotel from Norway. None spoke English at the hotel, and they were difficult to talk to over the phone. I had confirmation on e-mail and fax when we arrived Ajaccio, but the man at the reception said the hotel was fully-booked and that my 3 double rooms were taken. He did'nt care about my confirmation on both e-mail and fax - just looked stupid at me. The man was really rude and treated us really bad - even we had travelled all day from Norway to Corsica and were tired.

We found another hotel - Hotel Fesch, located in the much quieter pedestrian street above hotel du golfe. Hotel Fesch is a much better choice -great value for less money than horrible Hotel du Golfe.

Hotel du Golfe says they have seaview and balconies - that is a lie. There is a big parking-place in front of the hotel - as well as lots of big trees - you cannot see the sea very good. And only a few rooms have small french balconies.

Bad value for money. We stayed there and didn't like it at all. Cheap old furniture, toilet pan was getting blocked. The safe was really small, much smaller than normally in the hotels. Hotel was close to the sea port but not to the beach. Was advertised as a 3 star hotel and prices were quite high, but we would give it only one and a half star deserving half of its prices. Looked good on photos and in description but reality disappointed.
