“OK-ish, but let down by non functioning amenities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

The building itself was all clean and modern, with friendly reception. The family room we used, was clean and simply done out. However, the air conditioning didn't work and actually warmed the room up! The fridge in the room also didn't work. In addition the shower handle had a screw sticking out of it which dug into your hand when you tried to turn it, so had to use a wet towel to grip it. We fed this back to reception who didn't seem able to do anything. Otherwise was as expected for this price range.

Stayed for several nights in August 2013. The room had a refrigerator which did not work and we were told that virtually none in any room did. The airconditioning also did not work but one window did open. The drain in the bathroom sink took 20 minutes to empty; some Draino please. While the breakfast was adequate, supper was at best mediocre but fortunately there are a number of good restaurants not far away. Acceptable, if you can get an exceptional deal !

This was good value for one night on our return journey from holiday.
We had dinner in the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised by how good the buffet starters were ( crisp and tasty) and we both enjoyed our main courses which were decently priced.
The car park has a sloping ramp with high kerbs which was difficult going down and extremely difficult to exit. We have a 5 Series BMW and it took three goes to get it up and round without the rear wing catching the wall. So not impossible but not easy.

on the plus side, clean comfortable, well located foe town and just off the main route to Verdun.
staff friendly, great shower and air con in the room. secure underground car park.

on the minus side, car park 10 euro's night (for a one night stay its worth the piece of mind) breakfast was also 10 euro's, a bit heavy I thought.
The big complaint was the noise the air con made, aloud thumping every 10 minutes, had to turn it off to sleep and the weather was HOT.
All in all a good stop over hotel and we got a good price booking on line. The rack rate is high.

well placed and easily accessible for town centre. Reception staff very helpful. Secure parking- good room with plenty of warm water for a shower ( as it was so hot). The buffet was excellent- especially the dessert.

Easily accessible, located around 15 minutes walk from the city centre and cathedral. Apparently part of a chain, it seems to be run along similar lines (and similar standards) to Premier Inn. Reception staff functional and helpful although not wonderfully friendly. Room comfortable but there was no hot water at the times we needed it – apparently due to a temporary problem with the system in some parts of the hotel, we were told. Kettle and tea and coffee facilities provided – a rare pleasure in France, based on our experience. Secure underground car parking available at additional cost (on-street parking appeared to be at a premium when we were there). OK for short stays.

Our first night after long trip from Australia was quiet and comfortable. Reasonable location required a bit of walking to get to sights but good parking and wifi and breakfast better than average made up for it. Hotel staff were helpful in providing directions and advice. We would stay there again although an in house restaurant for dinner would be good, did not seem to be working when we were there.
