“Best Foie Gras we've had outside the Lot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2013

Very good website told us what to expect. We had oysters and foie gras as starters - both superb. Mains of steak and duck prepared beautifully and the champagne we ordered was so good that the next day we tracked down the producer and bought another dozen bottles. The menu gourmand was 36 euros which, considering that that is about £30, was phenomenal value.

“Probably better than our experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

We were a bit tired, the restaurant was over crowded and there was a very loud foursome sat opposite us who were very intrusive. The food was good, but because of the overcrowding service was slow. We are not sure we will try again which may be a shame.

“Great start, but declined as the meal continued”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

The night started off well, we were seated relatively quickly and the appetizer followed shortly. But 45 min to almost an hour before the entree arrived. Meanwhile other tables which arrived before and after received entrees before others even had their dishes removed. There seemed to be a disconnect with how orders were taken by the wait staff and managed in the kitchen. Those who arrived early were still eating when customers who arrived later were almost finished.

The food was good however the temperature could have been more consistent. It wasn't a terrible meal but could have been a more memorable one.
