“Overnight Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

For the price you cannot really quibble. What I liked most was the helpfulness of the staff. The breakfast is also good value for the price. We had quilts which are so much better than blankets.
A little way from the town center.

we booked this hotel knowing it would be very, very small - we only stayed in epernay for one night and splurged on hotels elsewhere. yes, it is small. but it is very clean, has free wifi, is walking distance from the train station, and about a 15-20min walk to champagne avenue. it was exactly what we were looking for. do not book here expecting an american-style hotel room. it is so small you cannot unpack your bags. but if you want a budget hotel that doesn't compromise on cleanliness - book here.

Room Tip: despite being 2 people, we booked the 3-person room for a extra square footage.

This is a very generic budget hotel without much character. Rooms are tiny with those 'all in one' plastic bathroom units. It is located in a semi-industrial area on the edge of Epernay, although walkable distance to the centre of town. That said, the rooms were clean, the beds comfy and the showers worked well. Our room did smell a bit of smoke although it was technically a non-smoking hotel.

Overall, this is a good option if you are very cost conscious. If you have appetite to spend a bit more, I would try and find somewhere more in town with a bit more character.

Epernay is a lovely town with plenty of excellent restaurants and champagne bars as well as the many champagne houses in easy walking distance. The smaller and less well known houses in particular are great for walk-in tastings, we found them to be friendly and helpful. On balance we enjoyed Epernay more the Reims.

We stayed here en route back home from the alps with our 3 children. It's a new hotel so is in good condition. It's in a convenient location and Epernay itself is nice with a few good restaurants to choose from. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and we were given two adjacent rooms with interlinking doors, perfect for families. For a stopover you couldn't really ask for much more.

This hotel is excellent if you are visiting only to stock up on the local champagnes. Its efficient and clean, not more not less. The rooms are small and bathrooms are standard cubicles you'll find at efficient hotels all around France. Breakfast was sufficient and location is good.

Visited hotel for 1 night with a group of friends as we traveled through France. Beds were very comfortable and the room was very nice. The only downside was the size of the bathroom which is TINY. A large man would not be able to fit in there to have a shower at all!! We were all quite petite and just about managed to have a shower without bruising our elbows and knees.

Other than that, friendly service, excellent location and free parking.

Easy to find, with good (free, and secure at night) parking, and a 10 minute walk into town. This hotel is cheap - and whilst it may be adequate for a brief overnight stop, it is not the place for a relaxing three night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the facilities were poor: Very small room - barely room for two, and it smelt of smoke despite the "no smoking" signs. There were few facilities in the room - no mirror, no hooks to hang wet coats, no tea/coffee making facilities, one cheap and flimsy plain chair, and a TV so high on the wall that it was uncomfortable to watch. The en-suite bathroom comprised a moulded plastic "pod" squeezed into the corner. It was clean, but had barely room to turn, and nowhere to properly dry the tiny towels.
The bedrooms overlook a busy (and noisy) road at the front, or a busy (and noisy) train yard at the rear.
Breakfast is adequate for the price - and is available in a self-service canteen style small room, where you eat from plastic trays (no plates here!).
There is no public room to speak of - just a small area in the foyer with a few plastic tables & chairs, and vending machines.

Room Tip: Book into another hotel.
