The location is very convenient next to the train station and prices are quite cheap.
The rooms are tiny, so I wouldn't advise staying there for longer than a couple of days. There is no air conditioning in the rooms so I suppose they would be sweltering hot during the summer month. In you are planning a trip in summer ask for a room that doesn't face the sun or you'll wake up sweating. It happened to be hot when we went there in June and the room ended up being quite stuffy.
The staff however are very friendly and most speak English.
Overall I would recommend if you are there for a couple of days. Save on the hotel and spend the money visiting the area it is very pretty and there are tons of good restaurants to try.

You can get to here from Gare de Tours by walk after passing Holiday Inn. While staying here, I also visited one room in Holiday Inn. It was actually larger, and has refrigerator and bathtub. However, I just paid 44 euros per night (advance booking, excluding tax) for my lovely Ibis! I slept on comfortable double bed using free wifi. It was a really pleasant stay. It you walk to Gare de Tours, you can find nice Vietnam restaurant. Everything is close from this hotel because Tours is small town!

We stayed here enroute to a holiday near Bordeaux from ferry landing at Caen. It was ideal for our mixed ages family and the city was great. Many places to visit, walk and eat.
Breakfast in hotel is very good and we sat outside with the children.

If you are in Tours for a quick stay (as I did) this could be an option... It's right next to the Tours Train Station and at a 15min walking distance of the old town... Room and bathroom are VERY small and could have done a better job at the cleanliness of the bathroom and smell of the room... I would only suggest it if you find a good price for it and you are only in for a good night's sleep...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2012

In contrast to the large hotel room I had in Caen, the rooms at this Ibis are models of efficient European space utilization. I liked this room - both the bath and the room have windows that open, the floor is covered with a very low pile carpeting which is soft on the feet, there is just enough closet space for one's travel wardrobe, the desk and nightstand have plugs for iPod charging, etc. I saw no insects and I always examine the bed and any upholstered furniture. Since I was traveling with friends and I had a single room, I visited one of the double rooms. Surprise - both have the same size and room layout! What was comfortable for me is too small for our married couples or friends sharing rooms.

Breakfast was delightfully served buffet style in a beautiful modern, wood panelled room. There are many restaurants in the area and plenty of sightseeing opportunities nearby.

Room Tip: Even my streetside room was not noisy. If you are a pair of people sharing a room, travel light!
