“Standard hotel but no mention of major building works next door!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

The staff were very friendly and warm, room was clean and comfortable. I think this place is good value and in a good location in Orleans. The only let down was that there was major road works going on next to the hotel which was pretty noisy in the morning. They didn't mention this on the hotel website although it was heavily discounted. I would stay here again but make sure there are no road works going on!

The thing most impressing in this hotel was the guy at the reception: fluent in english (a thing very rare in france) an most helpful and friendly. He walked in front of our car to guide us into the hotel garage, helped carry the luggage and was always there for information or questions.
The rooms are okay, the bathroom could need some renovation. The breakfast was medium.
The hotel is situated in walking distance to the city.

This is a good hotel with helpful English speaking staff. It is a short walk to centre of Orleans and has a private garage. We had a good sized room that had everything you could expect from a two star hotel. There was a good breakfast with more than just bread and croissants.

We arrived at 00.30 to find the hotel in total darkness and the front door locked. But we phoned the number given on the door and were given the access code. Our room keys had been left out for us at Reception. The lift had been switched off for the night and we had to carry our luggage up to the 4th floor. Things improved after this. The room was clean and comfortable, but no coffee/tea making facilities. Just a hand-held shower in the bathroom, no shower curtain. Continental breakfast is served in a breakfast room, with coffee dispensed from machines. The hotel staff were practically invisible during our stay. The Hotel is handy for Orléans train station, but the immediate surroundings are unattractive as is the location of the hotel itself in a grim tower block. This hotel is OK for a brief stay but is unremarkable and rather expensive at 83,60€ per night B&B.

Making a last minute decision to stop over in Orleans on our trip to the ferry from Spain, I made a reservation the night before based on a quick review on tripadvisor. Having blown the budget on vacation I couldn't resist the price.

We weren't disappointed.

We had stayed at a similarly styled hotel in Rouen on the way down for twice the price. With our 2 kids - and father-in law we required 2 rooms, and both rooms were great. They were clean, modern and comfortable.

I have stayed in hotels in Canada, US and Europe - some 2 star and some 5. I get the difference between paying for function and paying for luxury. The difference here is that we got more then the function required - but we got 5* service. A lot has been said about the service, but that means a lot after long travel - and too often missing.

Location was excellent, as was the local pizzeria and pasta house. The rooms were comfortable with good bedding and lots of pillows. Parking was great, and seemed far more secure then that of higher end hotels, at a fraction of the cost at 9 euro per night.

We plan on heading south again, and will definitely stay here for our Orleans overnight.

Ok it does look like a tower block above a Speedy garage, so if you want a quaint little French style hotel this place isn't for you. BUT if you are looking for a great value, modern, clean hotel, in a great location to the centre and the most amazing helpful, friendly service possible (with great English spoken), with secure parking and a decent continental breakfast, then this place is totally for you. Stayed there twice now and will stay and stay again.

Room Tip: All seem pretty much the same. Although we did just stay on the 3rd floor which seemed to have be r...

Basis but very good, you get what you play for and is very good value for the money you pay. Nice clean large room and very friendly helpful staff. Parking underground a little difficult but had lots of help and good value at 9 Euros. Nice breakfast. Good for centre for a night or two. Fast WiFi.
