Could spend quite a bit of time wandering around the Logis Royal. No cost involved. Some lovely views and some interesting parts, especially the Donjon.
There is also an exhibition of the works of Emmanuel Lansyer who was considered the second best landscape painter of his generation. This was held at his home that was gifted to Loches.
Well worth a visit.
While you are in the area do visit the Chateau at Montresor along with pretty villages such as Azay sur Indre and Chedigney and if you have time you must go to the Chateau at Chenonceaux
