“Not the Ritz but not bad”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

On the most important thing this hotel is good -- excellent bed with fluffy duvet, good linens and mattress. A clever designer has given the rather spartan room and common spaces a bit of buzz with carpet imitating hardwood floor, graffiti type graphic illustration, a game room feel in the lobby. And there is full-time food service and a bar which has a bit of ambiance. The staff are not only pleasant but have a bit of personality and fun that makes one feel that it isn't just good corporate training at work. But it is an Ibis -- no slippers, robe, or even toiletries other than a generic soap/shampoo (ecological as they point out). All can be purchased at a machine in the lobby if you have forgotten anything. Small TV with limited channels but does include one in English (BBC). The cathedral is a short but steep uphill walk away (but downhill after having had dinner up in town). Easy access by car and protected parking (for an additional fee) available.

Room Tip: Those giving over the parking lot are very quiet.

A great place to stay, friendly staff who were only to willing to advise and help even pointing out an easier route for me to get to the Cathedral. A lovely breakfast. Secure parking that we had to pay for but that us peace of mind. We will be back, hopefully next year.

Beautiful hotel on a river with chairs for relaxing time.
Beautiful decor and very nice room overlooking the Cathedral.
The staff is very helpful. The Cathedral is very close to the hotel and the parking is very convenient.
This hotel is different from others because it is by nature.
I recommend.

Be warned the rooms are tiny-but the hotel is well run and we had one of the best meals here of our holiday in the restaurant. My 60 year old mother found the walk to the old town too much so be warned if you are planning to go up there. This was the reason we ate in the hotel yet this was a blessing as the food was superb!

Room Tip: see if they have any bigger rooms

Chartres is a nice location, where I got chance staying at this hotels at two days.
- Bed is comfortable although a bit small as I live at 3/f
- Staff is friendly
- WIFI connectivity is good
- the parking is underground, a bit strange to enter and NO elevator so I had to bring luggage up the stair (which a bit awkward) , well and charge you 9euro a day. (tips, I probably wont park inside the hotel car park if I would visit again.
- breakfrast - no good, very few selection, not worth to pay

Room Tip: the breakfast is soso, not worth the $
