“worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

We arrived early evening and were shown to a very nice table upstairs. it was a little chilly with the air con but not too bad. service was very good, the wine was excellent. Don't expect large food portions as it is a bit nouvelle cuisine but it was very good. I had the fillet mignon which I have to admit I was expecting a steak but was given pork fillet. never the less it was very good. We ate out every night on our trip to the loire. and I have to say this was the most expensive meal that we had.

“Lamb is very good but others dishes are average, has some potential”

We ordered set lunch menu, lamb is very good, very tender and cooked to perfection, but others dishes are average, while good value and has some potential.

“Superb evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2011

We didn't book, and were lucky to get a table as we arrived early. We chose the degustation menu for 38euros for 3 courses and two glasses of wine (one white with the starter and a red with the main course). It was fantastic value, and our favourite meal of the trip. The food was amazing and all the flavours worked so well together. The staff were excellent too. Would love to visit again!

“Lovely decor, fantastic service, delicious food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2011 via mobile

We went because of the reviews here, when we turned up I remembered I'd been before with friends about 15 years ago, pretty sure it was in different hands then!

The decor is really well done and feels very comfortable. I love the kitchen on display - my boyfriend had cochon (suckling pig) which was taken from a rotisserie and cut up all in plain view. The Cochin was utterly delicious.

I had scallop risotto (de Saint Jacqus) - the scallops were cooked to perfection though the risotto itself was a little light on flavour.

I had a White wine to accompany which was just perfect and served quirkily in an ice bag.

The service here was the thing that makes this restaurant stand out more than anything though. Lovely smiley happy staff.

Not cheap at 18€ for each main dish, but not too bad for such a lovely place.

We loved it and would strongly recommend it to others.
