“Very well located. Would come back.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2010

My wife and I stayed there and enjoy the hotel proximity to Blois downtown. Have in mind that Blois is hilly and the castle is on the top of the hill while the hotel is by the river. Restaurants and shops are close to the river, though. Ask for a room facing the river, they have a nicer view. It didn't seem noisy to us, but we slept with windows closed. Our room was a duplex, at the last floor.

The surrounding city makes this hotel extremely pleasant, rooms are large and confortable and some give onto the Loire river. The swimming pool and sauna are accessible to all and the restaurant is of very good quality. It is a walk away from the historical centre, I recommend without doubt.

I stayed here one night during a Loire Valley trip and it was very pleasant. The room was spacious, modern, clean, well-equipped with a nice view of the river. The restaurant was excellent and had a nice selection of local wines. Parking was indoors and easily connected with the lobby. I had no reservation and got a senior rate of 125 euros/night. Would definitely stay here again.

We've spenther two nights in mid December. Standard clean rooms, bathroom and breakfast just ok.Cold staff and expensive internet.Perhaps a little overpriced for the location.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2009

We stayed at this hotel for one night and paid £160 for room only. When we arrived ,the receptionist offered us a "priviledged room" at £160 promising a balcony and views of the river. With the promise of a view of the Loire, we consented. The room was split level and very clean but the balcony was about a foot wide so impossible to sit out and the view of the river was completely obscured by a line of very high trees. The hotel facilities were good but we tried to get a drink at the bar late evening and there was no-one on duty. I think this hotel was very expensive for what it offered and I wouldn't stay here again only as a last resort.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2009

The hotel is well located on the riverside in the center of the city of Blois.

The room with sofa was big, comfortable, trendy, and calm as located on a courtyard. The bathroom is big and a bit old-fashion but looks in good shape. The shampoo and shower cap were missing which is not in line with Mercure standards. This was however corrected by the hotel personel once claimed. A safe and a minibar are available in the room. Small indoor swimming-pool looks nice but not tested. A secured parking (not free of charge) is available but you will find a lot of other places to park your car around the hotel.
