“Great site for young children. Ideal stopover or for longer stays”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

We annually travel round France in our camper with 3 children under 5yrs and this is one of our favourite sites so far.

We emailed ahead to say we were arriving late & when we pulled up were greeted straight away so no hanging around trying to find someone to check us in & found staff very pleasant & gave lots of useful info.

Pitch was huge, not very private but the children soon made friends with the neighbours anyway! Showers very small & basic but separate cubicles with washbasins & baby bath area. Few toilets but this was rarely a problem even though site was fully booked.

Quiet site, Little in the way of evening entertainment but the site had a lovely atmosphere with plenty for young children - park, bouncy castles, trampolines & different swimming pools. Be aware the jacuzzi pool has a hidden step & we found our 2yr old on the bottom of the pool just in time as she couldn't see it suddenly becomes deep & stepped off the ledge & promptly sank!

Lovely shaded cycle path accessible a few minutes from the campsite so take your bikes & explore.

The chalet we booked was great, clean ,spacious well appointed ,and a long way from the site!!! The booking description does say that it is off site, in a quieter setting. What it doesn't say is that there are only two chalets which are not owed or managed by the site and are located about 3/4 mile away in someone's back garden.Whilst you are able to use the facilities on site ,there is no direct access and you cannot take your car into the site. Our children were very disappointed to be so isolated. For us it wasn't so much of a problem as we were only there for a couple of days, but for a longer stay it would have been unsustainable. What upset us most was the indifference of the management, who were very unhelpful. We think that if they are going to include this sort of arrangement with Gites located in the surrounding area, they must make every effort to make the facilities accessible .They could for example provide bicycles or a beach hut at the site to give families with young children with a base .Throughout our stay we did feel like we were sneaking onto the campsite, carrying all of the stuff our family needed .

We holiday in France nearly every year staying with keycamp or eurocamp. On this occasion with Eurocamp in summer 2010.

Accomodation - we had a 3 bedroom mobile home with decking which was lovely and clean.

Couriers - best couriers we have encountered!

Restaurant - good quality - big thumbs up

From an adults point of view I would visit this site again, peaceful, pretty and within driving distance to some lovely places to visit. If you have younger children (under 11s) I would also reccomend but if like us you have teenagers then it is a bit quiet with not much going on.

This is a lovely, small and peaceful camping site. The facilities are clean and the park is well laid out. A new water complex has just been completed but the landscaping has not yet been fully finished. The bar restaurant provides good quality meals at reasonable prices. The location is great for those wishing to visit the Chateau in the area.
