This is a gem among hotels. Luxurious rooms amid a beautiful setting in an ideal location of the Loire valley. Excellent value for the money. They also made a restaurant recommendation for what proved to be one of the finest meals ( and the greatest value) of our trip: Le Pavilion des Lys.

My husband and I spent 3 wonderful days and nights at le Manoir les Minimes from July 25-28, 2004. We had a deluxe room on the 2nd floor overlooking the river and Chateau. The rooms were very comfortable and Patrice and his staff thought of every amenity--from the candle and holder, the bathroom amenities and the weather forcast for the following day on our pillow each night. Breakfast was beautifully presented with silver coffee and tea service, delicious breads and croissants, juice, jams and the best coffee we had in all of our 17 days in France. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed cocktails outdoors in the late afternoon while perusing menus for our dinner choice in the evening. The staff's restaurant recommendations were honestly given and we were very pleased with each choice. Their hospitality & sincerity made our stay truly memorable. It was a plus to be able to securely park on the grounds and walk to virtually everything in the chateau part of the city. We also found the price to be an excellent value considering the terrible exchange rate of dollars to euros. Manoir les Minimes is the only hotel of our 3 week vacation that my husband says he would like to return to. I expect that we will return one day.

After an easy and convenient journey by train from Charles de Gaulle to Amboise we were delighted at our reception at the Manoir. It is obvious from the exterior that the owners take great pride in their establishment. The rooms are elegant and tasteful with spectacular views of the chateau. The service is professional and intimate. You feel like one of the family from the very beginning. Amboise is the most charming town in the Loire Valley. Accessibility to Chenonceau is most convenient and in the town there are many things to do. Places not to be missed: Bigot, the best chocolate pastries and tea. Be sure to acknowledge Julia Bigot, you will know her by sight. Make sure to tour Parc Leonardo da Vinci and by all means visit the most under rated attraction Parc Mini Chateau, where you will be pleasantly surprised at the detail and the overview of the Loire Valley. Exploring Amboise is probably one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had and I'm sure you will feel the same.

Wow was this an amazing hotel. We stayed on the top floor of the manor and had a beautiful view of the chauteau and the river. The room was incredible with exposed beams, silk wall coverings, the most comfortable king sized bed ever, humungous bathroom with separate toilet all spotlessly clean. It was a treat to stay here after a few hectic weeks and budget hotels in london and paris. The whole place is beautiful and the town is charming. Rent bikes!! That was our favorite activity...but go and stay in this hotel and you will truely feel pampered!
