My daughter an I spent two nights in the cottage of this property last week after spending three nights in Paris. After being in the cramped space of a 4-star Paris hotel, it was wonderful to spread out a bit in this much more spacious room at 1/2 the price. The hotel was charming, clean, and offered a lovely view of the Amboise chateau. It was an easy walk to the town square with its many restaurants, if a bit intimidating after dark to walk back along the walls of the chateau. The office staff (who spoke English) was accommodating with our special requests. One caveat - after dinner one evening we wanted to have a drink (the parlor is stocked with liquors), but there was nobody there to help us (even at the front desk), and the prices were exorbitant, so we passed. Also, breakfast was rather expensive for a continental buffet. Overall, though, we were very pleased and would definitely stay there again.
