“An unbelievable find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

If you are anywhere in the region, this restaurant is worth the detour. I have been talking about it for the last month since i return to Boston. There are many good restaurants in France of course but this one marry the top notch gastronomy, creativity and value... We liked it so much that we ate there both nights in Amboise. A must visit in my book.

“Loved the dessert”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

I ate here with a school group so the meals were planed for us. But the appetizer was a light airy fluffy dough with goat cheese in it. I didn't care much for that only because I don't like goat cheese, but the raspberry sauce that came with it was great. Then we had the main dish and it was actually roasted turkey, we didn't know that at first. It tasted like roast beef! But it was great. It came with a fresh salad and a pancake sort of bread. Then came the best chocolate cake I had ever eaten! It was soooooo good! It had coco on the top with a warm chocolate drizzle sauce and a raspberry. I would defiantly suggest eating here if you come to Amboise.

“yawn !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

what a boring experience....

the service is so slow, you could change their shoe soles while they walk !
If they actually care talking to you, they are rude and you feel like you annoy them.
Having said so... this is another experience of " Fine French Dining " which actually is synonymous with giving you tasteless, unidentifiable colored stuff in water glasses to slurp, which
they call "mise en bouche".
Quality is very bad, portions are micrscopic, dining room is old and dark, the tableware worn out... everything is plain boring except for my laughing when getting the appetizer : it was so ridiculously small I actually took a picture of it.

“Good food but not mind blowing..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

This place serves french fare in the style of the 80's and 90's. The portions are a little on the small side, but they are presented with artisitic flair on white plates with lots of sauces. The food is tasty and well priced. The ambience is nice, it was very quiet when we were there. The waiter was also very young, which in fine dining is a little odd. How much wine knowledge can a 17 year old have? On the whole is what a good meal, just don't excpect a mouthgasm.

“Excellent Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This restaurant was selected because of the good reviews on Trip Advisor, and dinner lived up to expectations. Service was excellent, and the servers were friendly.
