“Clean well run in great position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

Had a good business stay here. I liked it mainly due to its location close to the centre so you can take a stroll around the wonderful Dijon shops it the the old quarter.
It's also on the tramline which we would have explored if I had more time.
The hotel itself is fine. A typical Mercure - repeated everywhere.

I picked this because it was close to the town centre and had parking.

Nice newish hotel. Centrally located.

It is an easy walking to town centre for dinner. The old town is worth visiting, especially if you go to the pedestrian zone.

OK, so we didn't stay in all the other hotels in Dijon, but.......
We picked the Mercure because of its No1 ranking in Trip Advisor and because we got a deal which included free parking and breakfast (just 135 Euro per night for the two of us). However, there is NOTHING budget about this Mercure. The check was very polite and efficient and conducted completely in English because, frankly, I was tired and a little grumpy after an arduous day-long drive up from St Tropez. The hotel was quite full by the time we arrived so they provided us with a free upgrade - which would actually have been worth paying the extra for. The large, comfortable room included free soft drinks, fruit juices, bottled water and a Nespresso coffee maker. In fact, the entire hotel is "as-new" very fresh, clean, modern and tasteful. We only stopped for 2 nights but would very happily have stayed longer.
A very well-earned No 1.

Room Tip: Spend the little extra and upgrade to a superior.

I (22) stayed here during my first trip to Dijon with my sister (17). It's a very beautiful hotel, probably the nicest in the whole city. VERY clean with modern decor... has a 4-star American feel to it (fluffy white sheets, contemporary bathroom, minibar, etc). It is RIGHT beside the (electric = silent) tram that goes right throughout the city, but you can walk downtown in 10-15 minutes. The tram to the train station is 10 minutes, don't waste money on a taxi. There's also a grocery store / market / ATM / drugstore a few steps away. My sister and I felt very safe in this area (although Dijon in general is quite safe to begin with). Exceptional front-desk service and overall a very pleasant stay!

Hotel is modern, not too far from center town, accessible by public transportation (tram), rooms are well lit, large windows, minimalist but practical furnished, warm, clean and comfortable. Included breakfast was reasonably diverse and plentiful. The Hotel features a renown Chef running Le Chateau Burgogne Restaurant, near the lobby. Food was delicious, but pricey. Other lower fare restaurants are not too far from the hotel. We were able to enjoy our queen size bed and well lit bathroom.

Room Tip: Book early for a good rate

Mecure Dijon Clemenceau is a big hotel, located outside from Dijon downtown.
It´s a 15 minutes walking to downtown, and 30 minutes to train station.
Around hotel is possible to find good restaurants and a supermarket Casino.
So ,location is not the best, but is acceptable.
Room is big, confortable, modern.
Helpful staff.
They have a gym.
Hotel has a restaurant, supposed to be one of the best in Dijon.
I don´t agree.
I was there, service is not the best, food is good but nothing excepptional, and desserts comes in a tray cart, not made by order.
It´s very expensive and is possible to eat in restaurants close to hotel, paying less and eating better.

This is an excellent mid-priced executive hotel. I am staying here on holiday with a friend; we got identical 'single' rooms - an enormous bed, good sized bathroom, separate toilet (this is quite unusual). We were given a good rate by booking about six weeks in advance.

Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. In particular, this is what it's like: we arrived at about 5:30pm on a weekday and stopped right outside the front door. Despite not having notified them in advance, my room keys were immediately available with the minimum of fuss and formalities - there was almost nothing in the way of form-filling, signatures, nothing - just efficiency. We parked the car underground, caught the lift up to the rooms and that was it. I was able to be in a shower within five minutes of arrival at the front desk.

My room (211) faced the square on which the hotel is located with busy traffic outside. Despite this, the sound-proofing was very good and the room was very quiet, and the blinds enabled it to be dark enough to sleep without the least disturbance. Air conditioning is quiet and efficient and my room was neither too hot not too cold.

The bathroom is small but well-designed, no complaints. It has a well-stocked minibar, a safe, a good sized flat screen TV and good, free, wireless internet access. A small table and two charirs, and an adequately sized desk (at which I am writing this review) complete the furnishings.

Dijon is quite a small city and easy to walk around; the hotel's location is about five minutes' walk from the busy market centre.

I very definitely recommend this hotel and will almost certainly stay here again.
