“An interesting experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

The tour was informative and interesting and the tasting at the end was so good that we ended up buying some product (converted to real French mustard). Although our tour was in English and French it was clear that the French version contained much more information as our translation was shorter - nevertheless it was good to have the English option, and we still learned a lot. If you enjoy good food and mustards I would recommend it as something different to do.

“Interesting insight into the production of mustard making in a compact visit (and tasting).”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013 via mobile

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at La Fallot Moutarderie. The tour of the production facilities offers an interesting and compact insight into the making of mustard in general and in Bourgogne and La Fallot in particular. Staff was very friendly and the tasting at the end provided us with additional ideas to try some new lavours. Definitely worth the visit.

“Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

When we travel to France, we purchase wine and mustard, so this place was a must see! Well worth the time and entry fee as we learned more about mustard than we ever thought possible. Accommodation was made for English speakers by a personable guide. One room with machines geared to the headphone system was a little boring, but you could skip some of the items and rest in the next room. Tasting with mini tidbits was a bonus. Avoid purchasing too much in the shop as you can find the same items in Carrefour for a lot less.

“Very interesting and informative tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We took this tour on a rainy and cool day on very short notice (we got the last two spots in a tour). But we would recommend a visit under any circumstances. The tour was informative and interesting, very professionally organized, yet with a personal touch. If you are in Beaune, put it on your schedule (but plan ahead, group size is limited).
The only "negative" aspect: you get two mini-jars of mustard at the end. But you certainly will want to buy one or more (or even more!) flavors. The sales personnel in the shop is very helpful but the wait at the cash register may be quite long (but worth it).

“Well Organized”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

An hour sounds like a long time to spend on a tour of a mustard factory. Well... it's fascinating, because you learn all about Fallot mustard and its history... and still don't get to see the actual factory. But... that's all that's missing, because you get to make some yourself... grinding the mustard seeds with vinegar and salt. Voila! Mustard. There are plenty of displays that cover the history of mustard and Fallot.

The tour is in French and English.

Then you get to sample... amuse bouche of cookies, small tomatoes, carrots, chicken terrine and jambon in jelly... with various flavored mustards. And they give you sample sizes of Dijon and grainy mustards. Plus there is a great shop for souvenirs.
