“Not great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012 via mobile

Small room, shabby, and breakfast overpriced with awful coffee and pain au chocolat from Lidl?? I was ashamed of it, so many foreign visitors, gives a bad image of France. Good location, a few minutes walk into town, and parking in the courtyard, but at an extra 5€ a night. An expensive night for a below average stay. I stayed with my 17 year old son, bed and breakfast and parking came to 111€

I was disappointed in this hotel; although the owner is nice enough it just lacks that personal touch. The rooms are really tiny, breakfast was not great, coffee was awful and the location is little too far away from all the action in the centre of town, even though it’s not far to walk you are still away from it all. We saw a lot of other far nicer places to stay at in the village or even out in the vine yards.

We stayed here for two nights and if we had not pre-paid we would have walked out. The good things: location - you can walk into town and it is easy to drive to the vineyards from here. The owner is pleasant and helpful. Wifi worked well. The negative - it really is a dump. It is shabby and uncared for. A table in our room was falling apart. I tried to move it to get to a power outlet and it started to collapse. Lighting in the room was dingy; a very depressing place. Breakfast was very plain, heavy on carbs (bread and jam) and the coffee was consistently cold. You couldn't pay me enough to stay there again!

Lovely Country style hotel, with secure parking, walking distance from old city. Rooms very clean and comfortable opening onto a nice garden. Excellent breakfast. Lots of charm and character.

Excellent hotel, 10 minutes walk to town centre. Friendly, helpful service, fab breakfast, room was small but had the added bonus of an outside patio through some French doors, weather was warm and we spent some time in this peaceful court yard. It is on a main arterial road but sound-proof, secure gates swallow up most of the noise. They seem to have a variety of rooms as there were families (4-6) staying there too. Secure covered parking (suitable for bikes too).

Room Tip: If you want the patio, ask for a ground floor room

this lovely country style house turned hotel is very well situated , close to the historic center of Beaune. We had booked connecting rooms and we found ourselves in a cute very french decorated attic,. the main bedroom and the triple room were quite large ,under their wooden beams, and separated by a quaint bathroom. I liked the quietness of the rooms, the garden table setting for a late evening drink in the warm air of late summer in Bourgogne, the closeness to town and the friendliness of the staff.

Our experience with the Beaune Hotel was the low point of our vacation. The staff was rude, as was management. The hotel itself is located only a 5 minute walk from the central area of Beaune, however, the low quality of this hotel make it less than an ideal choice. The rooms are small and have not been updated in years (kind of run down). We stayed only one night here before moving to someplace more welcoming, cleaner, and nicer.
