We stayed at the Chateau for four days and discovered Burgundy during that time. Visiting wineries, undertaking tours of the region and tasting the food at the wonderous Burgundian eateries. It is a pity that more do not stay longer at Chateau de Challanges. It is far enough from Beaune to be in a quiet, quaint environment but close enough to Beaune to ride or drive there to be able to see and visit the restaurants and historic opportunities that Beaune and its surrounds represent.
We had an upstairs room that was a roomy, well decorated and well appointed suite. The ensuite bathroom was modern with a separate toilet. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom television was fine but there was no handset for the one in the sitting room.
The breakfasts were terrific - excellent spread and the service was excellent. They catered for gluten free very well.
the concierge was very good and their suggested restaurant list in Beaune was helpful and contained excellent choices.
We enjoyed hiring a bike from the Chateau so that we could ride on the terrific La Voie des Vignes bicycle trail through southern Burgundy. The grounds of the Chateau were terrific and well maintained. The walkway through the woods was a special treat. The lack of a gym was the only negative for the Chateau for us.
The cost was high at a bit over 200 euros per night, but worthwhile value.

This old (sort of) Chateau is very good restored: modern combined with traditional in a very harmonious way. We had a nice suite in the old building with a separate bedroom and lounge. The bathroom was too small for such a suite. Beautiful garden and nice pool. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice bar, very good breakfast outside in the garden. No restaurant but no problem with many good restaurants in the city center (5 minutes drive); the receptionist booked for us a very good one.

The chateau, more a small stately home, is located just a couple of miles outside the old town of Beaune in quiet and peaceful surroundings and with its own lovely garden and fountain. We had a suite, which was on the small side, but comfortable and well-furnished in partly Louis XIV style. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We spent 2 nights here as a stopover from Switzerland and took the chance to look round the attractive old town of Beaune and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many terrace restaurants.

The only thing that might have improved the experience would have been dining facilities at the hotel, though restaurants were only a few minutes drive away in the town.

An excellent stop off after 4 weeks of travelling across Europe.
A real treat. The swimming pool was a welcome retreat after a long journey.
The receptionist was very welcoming and booked us in to an amazing restaurant for dinner. My only criticism was that we booked a beautiful suite, the bed room and lounge area stunning, but the design of the bath room was small, a max of 150cm width, so a bit tight!
An expensive treat.

This property is gorgeous and has a wonderful staff. The grounds are very well kept with lovely gardens. There is a little bar on the first floor to grab a drink or you can sit outside on their patio. The only downside is that it is a little bit outside of the town and is not ideally located if you are planning on biking the wine route (veloroute). Our stay was wonderful.

We recently spent a night at the Chateau de Challanges en route from Paris to Cannes. As we wanted to visit a couple of wineries we selected this area. The grounds of the Chateau are beautiful but the room we had was very disappointing. Very dusty, mold in the shower, tiles that had come off in the bathroom, spider webs and spiders in all corners. I have a dust allergy and it was so bad we had to leave very early in the morning. If the room had been clean our stay would have been very enjoyable.
