Stayed here overnight with friends on our way south. It is opposite the railway station and on a busy road so you can expect some noise if in a room overlooking the road. The hotel is central - 5 minutes walk from the main square and 10 from the cathedral. Free parking available and a satisfactory breakfast. The rooms are small but clean and the staff were very helpful.

There was no restaurant service on the night that we stayed (a Monday) so unable to comment on the food.

on a recent holiday to the the East of France we spent 2 nights at this hotel. We paid 52 Euros a night and breakfast at 5 Euros per head. we were allocated a room at the end of a corridor on the first floor.
The room was average size for a hotel room and included a stool to place the suitcase on that is a great help. The room was clean and smelt fresh. We enjoyed a good night's sleep without any disturbance from passing traffic or the other occupants in the hotel.
The bathroom/toilet was also clean, but as it is rather common in hotels the grouting between tiles in the shower cabinet needed replacing in places. fortunately there was a window in the bathroom and it could be aired after use.
The breakfast consisted of half a baguette and a croissant with butter and jams. The coffee was good and there was no problem in having a second cup.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We ahd one dinner at the hotel on the monday night. A full choice of dishes was not available on this night, but we had a good meal at 12 Euros per head.
Private parking was provided free of charge and that is a great help.
When we left the hotel and reached our next destination approx 150 kms away, i realised my wife had left most of my clothes behind in the hotel. She phoned the hotel and was told that the cleaners had found the clothes and had been put aside safely until we could collect the items. When we did finally pick up the clothes we found that the items had been carefully hung on coat hangars and were locked away for safety.
I certainly would use this hotel again if we were travelling in the region of Autun.

Although its nothing fancy, its a busy little hotel, clean, quiet, with a good restaurant, the menu du jour was 12 euros, friendly and helpful staff, free Wifi, free locked parking and good breakfast for 5 euros. Its by the station so about a 20 minute walk uphill to the cathedral and old town, we drove. Good value in a surprisingly pleasant town

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2011

We staid on night in March and we were travelling by train, so the location was convenient for us. The hotel is basic, but clean, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The hotel staff was friendly and held our bags for us after we checked out of the hotel. They also had free wifi available in the room. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Autun Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Lazare d'Autun) -- our reason for stopping in Autun. We paid 46 euro for a double and it was a good value. I'd stay in the hotel again
