“Don't be fooled by appearances - a great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2011

Not much to look at from outside or even when you enter, being small and unprepossessing in a back street, but the food and atmosphere are great and excellent value for money. Limited but adequate menu.

“Wonderful meal - excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2011

We ate here after a recommendation from the owner of our chambre d'hote and were not disappointed. It was only a small restaurant in a side street and I doubt we would have found it ourselves. It appeared to be mainly frequented by locals. We paid 18 euros for 3 courses and each course was delicious. Very good value for money!

“Good traditional cooking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2010

A very popular restaurant serving well-cooked traditional food. Lovely hot oxtail terrine, followed by pollack with trompetes de la morte mushrooms. Good choice of wines by the glass, all very well-priced. Reservation advised!

“One of the Best!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2010

Too bad that we discovered Le Leonie in our last few days in Dinan or we would have eaten there every day. The tip came from the a local barber and he was correct. We had a fabulous lunch of shredded beef cheeks with foie gras. The locals filled the restaurant for a E10.00 plat du jour.

“Excellent value for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2009

A small restaurant located a bit outside of the center of Dinan and far from the most touristic area. The decoration is pretty simple as in many typical french restaurant and the service is professional with a discrete attention that makes you feel very welcome... The food is simple with a personal 'chef's touch' , fresh and tasty as any good food should be... Well presented with priority given to seasonal vegetables and fish straight from the morning market... The prices are extremely attractive for both food and drinks... The dinner formula is only 17 EUR and you can have wines by the glass at around 2.5 EUR... Warmly recommanded.
