We stayed for eight nights in early to mid September.
The hotel is beautiflly situated on the waterfront and beach, just out of Concarneau. Our room and, I believe, all rooms have a view onto the sea and beach.
Our room was basically excellent, but with some surprisingly cheap features - cheap hardboard interior doors which would not shut properly, for instance.
Food was excellent, and the staff very pleasant and attentive, although, unfortunately, our principal waitress hurtled around at eye-watering speed, making mealtimes a little less than relaxing.
They forgot to book us in on one evening, and gave us a depressing table which I refused - we were then given an excellent one, which was odd.
The parking is apalling. Either one tries to find a nose-to-tail on-street slot outside the hotel, which is a highly competitive event, or one uses the hotel's private park which they describe as being 300 metres away.
I could question the distance quoted, but that would be petty. What I would say, however, is that the vertical distance to the park should be quoted also - it is pretty steep.
All in all, this is a pretty good hotel which we, unfortunately, did not find to be nearly as relaxing as it should have been.
The area, also, we found to be less relaxing than other parts of Brittany which we know well.
It is difficult to say why this is so. The traffic is fairly average but there is a plague of mini-roundabouts which do not contribute to pleasurable motoring.
Coastal walking is far less interesting and pleasurable than that found further south in the Morbihan area, for instance, although we do know the Morbihan area well, and were exploring here.
