When travelling through France we stayed a night in Vichy. When we walked along the Alier , we spotted the restaurant 'La table de Marlene'. It was the shape of the restaurant and its very beautiful location which attracted us first. We didn't have a reservation but a very friendly waiter gave us a table with a view on the river. Water was free and served in a beautiful carafe. The waiter also gave good and honest wine advice,.We tried the 'menu de dégustation' (30 euros + 7 if you take the cheese as well). It was deliciuos! It is impossible to describe how well everything was prepared and how the tastes surprised and delighted us in each course. We didn't take the cheese, but if you do , you have an enormous choice.
La table de Marlene is a memorable restaurant!
