“Ok not special..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011 via mobile

Decor out of date
Needs cleaning
Maybe some music?
Better service from staff that does not smell of cigarette and better dressed!
Food was ok but not michelin star rate
Price is too expensive for this area and gastronomic level

“Our Best Dinner in France”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2011

We ate in several highly rated restaurants in southern France. Our best meal was at Chez Ruffet.
The service is attentive and correct, but not stuffy or pretentious. The facility has a casual /chic appearance.
We sampled nine different dishes and two wines. Not a clinker in the bunch - one superb dish followed another.
I wish Chez Ruffet was in my neighborhood!

“Best meal I've ever had in France”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2010

Nice room and very professional service, but what really stood out was the food. It wasn't just excellent ingredients exquisitely cooked - there was an imagination and flair on show. Each dish left me wondering how they did it. Langoustines with vermicelli sounded so dodgy, but was such an explosion of tastes and textures in the mouth. Special mention for the nibbles box at the end of the meal. Often you get Michelin starred restaurants with a sense of complacency - not here. I'd say the chefs were hungry to push things forward.

OK, this could not be considered a cheap meal. But for this quality a real bargain. When we walked in we were the first customers and I was a little worried we would be the only ones eating. It did end up half full - it deserved more than that.

Incredible food and service. Always surprising and worth every penny. Go for lunch for michelin stars on a budget. They even throw in the wine
