Five hungry golfers arrived having booked and were hoping for a good experience having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The 20 euro menu offered 2 choices of starter and 2 plats, all of which we tried between us. The hot starter of goat's cheese on black cherry in a puff pastry square was imaginitive and delicious - I shall steal the idea for home cooking. The salad entrée also good, plenty of foie gras and not too much lettuce. The plat of small squid sautéd with parsley came with a pot of pea puree or sauce and butternut mash - again delicious. The brochette of duck with melted goat's cheese was also good and came with fries. My only criticism would be that if you don't like goat's cheese or squid you'd have had to explore the à la carte options, which would significantly increase the price. The house rosé pichet was fine, the red was chilled in a pichet but a passable bottle of Bordeaux AOC was only 14 euros.
