“Ah, the breakfast!”

In addition to all the good things that I have written about this fabulous hotel previously, I now wish to add that the improved breakfast buffet is just about the best and most complete in the world. And the breakfast staff are just as friendly and efficient as in the other parts of the hotel.

Great facilities, clean rooms and bathrooms, polite and friendly staff. A short walk from the town centre and right by the beach.

We shared a suite which had 2 TVs, a coffee machine, sound system, twin beds, sofabed, desk, coffee tables, chairs, ensuite bathroom. All were working properly and the room was well cleaned. We tried out the indoor swimming pool and the hammam, both were great. The only comment I would make about those would be to keep them open a little longer as they are closed at lunchtime and after 7.30pm.

Exterior is a bit ugly, especially compared to the surrounding buildings, but that doesn't matter once you're inside.

After an early arrival and not much hope for an early bedroom, we were very pleasantly surprised by a meeting with a relationship manager and an upgrade to a room with a sea view.
The rooms are good but the view is definitively a must with the spectacular foam of the braking waves and the light house.
The facility is very good even if the building is suffering with the sea and it architecture not my favorite.
The breakfast buffet is very nice with all you want from basque products to continental or american. Fruit juices are great as well as creamy scrambled eggs.
Do not hesisate to book.
For the spa, we took two massages/ face cleaning, it was very relaxing and professional.
If you rent a small car like us, do not hesitate to look around for a parking lot in the street. We also managed to find one close enough.

Reception staff, concierge and restaurant staff all very courteous and welcoming.
Comfortable spacious room, comfortable super king bed, nice terrace most with sea views,very quiet, and good to have tea making facilities. Free wifi in the room too - extra points for that!!.
Good choice at Breakfast.
Lovely sun terrace and heated outdoor pool - good access to beach.
Hotel well located for walking in to the resort.
Overall hotel .decor dated and exterior tired. Not the most attractive of buildings and out of character and scale with surrounding buildings.

Also, thank you for pointing out our various facilities you can pick depending on the changing weather: tea is most appreciated in stormy weather like today; the terrace, pool and beach when the sun shines. By the way, our guests can also access the indoor pool.

We stayed for 2 nights in October 2012 . Firstly we arrived at 8.30 pm with children so went straight to the restaurant for dinner. As we received no service at all after waiting at our table for 20 mins we left and found a nice place to eat in town. We tried again at breakfast - it took 45 mins to receive our fried eggs! Breakfast was otherwise nice . It was overpriced. Service patchy at best- after living in France for 4 months one expects a friendly bonjour from staff but generally I felt ignored here. Also for a 5 star hotel I thought it claustrophobic in the corridors - I am of average height but could touch the ceilings. Either Sofitel should raise the overall standard of the place or lower the price . I rate it 4 stars only.

Had 3 nights here in a Superior room. Rooms are nicely sized and well equipped. Good coffee machine in the room. Also had a nice terrace with a view. Reasonably well equipped gym and nice pool area overlooking the ocean. Exterior of the hotel is very dated and is in desperate need of an update and a paint job. Staff very friendly and helpful.
