“Not a nice place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

I was very disappointed in this facility. It was run down and poorly maintained. I had to go to the desk to get two replacement light bulbs. The front desk is open only during limited hours. The clientel are mostly working folks in for the week or so.
Our room had a kitchenette with frig which was only good for chilling our white wiine.
Our room had a trundle bed in the outer room, which worked out great for a friend who was staying down the hall. We could visit with her in our room and it was OK.
The WiFi was a joke. it would only work in the lobby and you had to log on every time you wanted to use it.
I would not recommend this place unless your budget needed this fit. There were two other nicer and more expensive hotels very close by and in good proximity to the airport.

Room Tip: Based on the condition of the place, we chose not to take breakfast here. We went into Bordeaux for...

At one stage I may have thought that we deserved what we got taking a cheap hotel near the airport for one night before flying out of Borbeaux. But on reflection no one deserves to have to put up with such conditions in any circumstances.

On arrival our reservation had been recorded for the following day and we were told the hotel was full. Then we were asked to take a seat while a "solution" was found. In five or ten minutes we had a room.

The room was as small as you would expect but we didn't expect a bed that folded out from a sofa. The bathroom was very tired and dirty in all the corners and joints with some mould in the grouting. The worst was what seemed to be mucus spray on the wall near the toilet. Nevertheless, we resigned ourselves to grin and bear it.

That was until we pulled back the bedclothes to find a series of brown stains. Now they may have been rust stains or something else but we were not prepared to take the chance. We reported our concerns to reception and after a bit of a wait lo and behold they came up with another room ( so much for the hotel being full).

The second room was a small improvement and we stayed.

But we wish we hadn't. That fold out bed was as uncomfortable as I remember from sleeping over at my wife's parents place before we were married. We got very little sleep at all.

Then in the morning we came down for breakfast at 9.30 to learn that it finished at 9.00.

We are working on trying to forget we ever went to this hotel.

Despite the proximity to the airport I would never stay here again. The 'apartment' was old and tired with marks on the ceiling and dubious stains on the carpet. A lack of air conditioning meant that we had to have the windows permanently open so were subjected to the continuous smoke from the chain smoking residents next door and below. The noise from people talking and drinking in the car park below went on well into the night.
The area the hotel is located in is unsavoury with a 'sexy centre' (what ever that may be) next door and glass from broken windows in the car park.
All the plant pots around the pool are full of rubbish and the floor EVErWHERE is awash with cigarette butts.
It is probably the worst place I've stayed for a long time and would not subject my family to it ever again!

The staff was helpful and even called to make sure I was coming, however the room was very dated and run down. This places was listed as 3 Stars on the site I booked it on, but I find that rather hard to believe. I guess you get what you pay for... the rate was quite low. But I'd think twice before I'd stay here again.

This is an okay apartment hotel in a terrible location. It's at the back of an industrial zone, with only a few restaurants (in other hotels) within walking distance, and no shops (except the "Sexy Center" next door). It is close to the Bordeaux airport, but there is no airport shuttle or (easily findable) public transport. You have a choice of walking at least 30 minutes (no paved sidewalks, through industrial areas that didn't seem very safe, and at some points by very busy roads) or taking a taxi (15 euros).

And if you want to get into Bordeaux itself, it's an odyssey by public transport, and unaffordable by taxi (we were charged 65 euros from Bordeaux train station for three people and luggage).

Other than that the place was okay. Room was clean and reasonably large (we had a grand studio), kitchenette was fine, no air conditioning, beds were hard, everything was rather old. The outdoor pool was very nice and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Expect to pay for anything except the basic room - internet, telephone, breakfast. It was surprisingly quiet at night given the nearby airport (even with windows open in summer).

Stayed for one night only - Thank God. Booked hotel for our last night as it was close to airport. We had taken our holiday in the South. This is not a hotel but a facility and a very bad one at that! No air con. Very bad smell from pool. Staff not at all interested in guests. Breakfast not worth the 7.00 each as there was no breakfast left at 9:30 allthough breakfast does not end till 10:00!!!!! Do not trust the pics you are seeing on site- the art of photo's!
No shops close to hotel and no other food in hotel bar breakfast - well even then NO FOOD!

I was told the hotel didn't open until December of 2008, so I don't know where other earlier reviewers stayed. Nevertheless, no English or non-French TV stations, no business office, no clothes dryer (the washer is 4 EUR). For being a new building, the window glass made no difference to the traffic noise and the shower floor had wall tiles (slick and dangerous). The plumbing pipes were visible (for a new building?) and the bar soap was the size of a chicklet, the shampoo packet could wash a large hamster. Basically, the place is cheap as in stingy. The saving grace is that the Appartcity in Rennes was worse.
