“Only one room to choose”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

The website looks good, the photos look good, the reviews sound good, but must all be for the one room that is good. The rest are really very ordinary and certainly not a world standard 4 star property as advertised. No soap, no face cloth, no tissues, no floor coverings, no milk for coffe or tea. The floor is dirty, the bed sags and is hard, the blinds don't close, the bathroom door doesn't meet, all the lights do not work. Totally frustrating. If you fancy carrying your bags up flights and flights of stairs to bump your head on the ceiling, or not be able to sleep for the noise from the water in other rooms, then this is the place for you. Definitely won't be back

We arrived at this charming hotel after a delayed flight and a stressful start to the holiday and we were instantly set at ease. Not only was the hotel itself beautiful, but the grounds are tranquil and the staff extremely attentive. The rooms are well appointed and spacious with fantastic showers. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located very close to downtown Bordeaux (along the Jardin Public), nevertheless in a quiet area. The rooms and common spaces are simply beautiful, designed and decorated with great taste., miles away from the cold and impersonal hotels of comparable standing you will find in town.
In addition the staff members are very friendly and as helpful as can be!
Do not hesitate for one second to stay at the maison Bord'eaux if you're in town.

The service at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The best I have seen in my long career as a global globetrotter. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay exceeded our wildest expectations (and no, there is no exaggeration in this!). Very well located, in a lovely quiet area but close to the center. The room where we were was amazing, spacious and beautifully designed, with a great view.

Room Tip: Apolline room is stunning!

The staff are supremely helpful, friendly and courteous. The hotel was a perfect choice for a romantic break in Bordeaux, with it being only a 10 min leisurely walk into town made it the perfect location also.

The rooms are large and nicely decorated and the breakfast was delicious, but the wine from the owners vineyard was superb.

I would have no hesitation in recommending La Maison Bordeaux as a great getaway location.

Normally, I like to stay closer to downtown Bordeaux, but the pictures from this hotel intrigued me and I am glad I stayed there. The rooms are spacious, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom that you would expect to find in a five star hotel, including Hermes toiletry.

The room was very modern and looked out over a lovely garden.

The staff was gracious and attentive and I got to try several wines from around Bordeaux while being entertained with stories from each Château. Breakfast was typical European-style faire and it was yummy.

All in all, an excellent hotel and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Across the street from the hotel are ancient Roman ruins, they are what is left of a mini-coliseum b...

After searching for a while, I set for La Maison Bordeaux for a surprise birthday weekend for my other half, and it was truly the right choice. Very friendly and great service, the room was very good and with attention to detail. I can definitely recommend La Maison Bordeaux.
