Get there around 10:30am if you want to avoid the crowds at the most popular stalls, although there are plenty to go around. Just a short stroll or tram ride from the centre, we had a great time in the autumn sunshine, just people watching and enjoying freshly shucked oysters in various sizes, mussels, snails, assorted other cooked seafood, meats, veggies and of course many delicious pastries to die for. The only thing it lacks is and espresso van for those who can't handle a wine or 2 1st in the morning. Suggest you collect one on the way and enjoy Bordeaux central at its best.
