“Best Sunday Breakfast in Bordeaux - go there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Sunday morning, Bordeaux and too few places are open to eat well at 10.00am. I did not want the standard continental breakfast and substandard coffee that you usually get in a hotel. PLUME small kitchen provides a more than substantial breakfast that will keep you going all day. You may think €18.50 sounds expensive but you get a big bowl of fromage frais with granola and fresh fruit , we had apples, kiwis, raspberries and cranberries in ours: a lemon and poppy seed cake, a fruit scone, jam, maple syrup, some fresh salad, cheese, bread some baked beans and a hot, perfectly poached egg and ham muffin, tea or coffee and a large glass of the fruit juice of the day (apple and grape for us). We struggled to eat it all and were given a bag to take our cake with us. The staff are lovely and it's no surprise to find that this place is very busy on a sunday morning. It's a wonderful little place, simply done in old café style, very welcoming. We were heading off to the other side of town but when I am in Bordeaux again I would like to try their lunch menu. Close to the Cathedral resrvations not accepted on a Sunday morning so get there before it gets too busy. It opens at 10.00am.

“Outstanding Brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Visited Plume this morning after reading reviews on TA. What an outstanding brunch, all freshly cooked to order & very differant, a mixture of cooked egg & ham with cereal & cake.. When we go to Bordeaux in the future for the weekend we shall visit again. It is now late afternoon & nothing else to eat yet. This restaurant is of a very high standard & all the staff were very freindly, Well done.

“Want to go back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

I visited here for sunday brunch and was very impressed. The food was original, all very well cooked and tasty and the selection of different foods actually went very well together. Slightly expensive for my student budget but i'd love to go back if i could! Very good service and a cool atmosphere.

“Friendly service & tasty lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who explained the dishes as she pointed to them which gave us a great sense of what to expect for lunch. We had an egg burger and legumes which was great value as well as homemade soup with a tasty goats cheese and grilled veg sandwich. Both dishes were very good though the soup was a little bland. Desserts were a S'more bar -like a rocky road but better- and a Vulcain cookie served with good coffees. All in all a nice lunch in a nice buzzy cafe.

“A real gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We searched the town centre for a long time one Sunday morning looking for food. We finally stumbled over this place and had the brunch - we were so pleased! Excellent food (and plenty of it!), great coffee, and lovely friendly waitresses. We'll be back before our trip's over without a doubt.
