“Home from home, with smiles and home-cooked treats!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012 via mobile

We spent a lovely few days staying with Geneviève and Thierry and were very happy with our choice of B&B. Nothing is too much trouble for these wonderful hosts and we felt very welcome and looked after, right down to booking us tables and taxis to make our stay smooth and memorable. The location is a good way out of town, but we found this to be a positive as the public transport is fine and it was relaxing and peaceful on a beautiful spring weekend.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Cosy Corner and loved our 3 nights there. From Genevieve's prompt and informative replies to emails, to her beautiful home-baked treats, we received excellent service during our whole experience with Cosy Corner. The creatively-decorated home is a 12-minute walk to the city centre. It is well-supported with tram and bus stops very nearby and a post office, patisserie, grocer etc all within a few minutes' walk. We stayed in the Tangerine bedroom, which was very cosy, immaculately clean, warm, quiet and lovingly decorated. We were greeted by a smiling and friendly Genevieve, a cup of tea and biscuits. Genevieve and her husband's hospitality and service did not end there. We were given maps, directions, recommended sights to see and restaurants to eat at, DVDs to watch, a laptop and good wifi free to use, a beautiful and very filling breakfasts of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, breads, pastries, juice, tea, coffee (and even a shot of alcohol one morning!). Genevieve was also so kind to call several vineyards for us in the St Emilion area to arrange appointments for us. Nearly halfway through an 8-month trip around the world, it truly was a treat to be so well looked after at such a great price. Well done to you both.

I travelled to Bordeaux in late June/early July of 2011. I had a WONDERFUL time staying at the Cosy Corner B&B. As a single woman travelling alone, I found it safe and had no problems at all walking around or taking the modern tram all over town. Beautiful city and I also went on three amazing winery (chateaux) tours. St.Emilion is a must see! Genevieve and Thierry were excellent hosts and even though I studied a little French in the past, it was very helpful that Genevieve spoke perfect English. They were very friendly and accommodating and I felt very comfortable at their B&B. They even have a computer and tv for your private use, which was nice to send a few emails. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again if I ever make it back to Bordeaux!

Room Tip: I stayed in the Mimosa room and liked it very much.

Very nice place ( old house), very good breakfast (self made marmelades), hostess speaks fluently English, very friendly and helpful to discover Bordeaux and environment. Room is nice and convenient, with bathroom. Bus and tramconnection to the center of Bordeaux. We were there 3 nights.

Despite arriving over an hour and a half late and at past 22.30 (BA flight delay!), Genevieve and Thierry were incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts ensuring that all was in order and that we were well looked after. It may be a little way from the very centre of Bordeaux but with a fab little bar (Chez Luis) two steps away and a great Brasserie (Sud Ouest) ten steps away, we were set up and ready to go. Genevieve serves up lovely breakfasts with all kinds of home made jam including one made from figs from the tree in the garden. We stayed in the Tangerine Room with its own little lounge next door and it was all peace and comfort. Sadly I came down with a cold on my first day, but Genevieve recommended an excellent French cold cure. You just felt that every guest was special and both Genevieve and Thierry could not have done more to ensure a wonderful stay.

We had such a warm welcome from Genevieve and Thierry. Got settled into our rooms and then receive such helpful advice about the city of Bordeaux, we were recommended some beautiful eateries for our two night stay.
Breakfast was delicious with a choice of homemade jam's, pastries, and fruits. Genevieve had baked her very own bread pudding - it was a feast fit for a king.
Perfect beginning to our stay in France before heading to the countryside for my sisters wedding.

Genevieve and Thierry are gracious hosts who are very welcoming.
Breakfasts were delicious and generous,(Genevieves cannelés are a delight),parking is easy, and the garden is there to be enjoyed.
A room with a separate lounge was very comfortable and relaxing.
Enjoyed the walks to the city centre, and the helpful advice on eating and touring was most appreciated.

Room Tip: Our room and lounge were on the top floor. ideal for two.
