“Modern hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

This modern hotel is just a couple of blocks away from the historic Bordeaux center. The room was clean and spacious enough (we were three-two sleeping on double bed and one on the sofa bed). It has everything you need including a small kitchen, tiny refrigerator and dishwasher, a few dishes and pots, ironing board & iron and a small terrace. There is a washer/dryer in the premises as well as indoor parking for guests. Just around the corner is a shopping center with a large supermarket. Staff were pleasant and helpful enough. You really can't go wrong if you are the type that likes clean, functional hotels (in a great location).

We stayed there for one night. I booked this hotel mainly because of the reviews I had read about the fact that it was a good place for families and because we like the concept of apart'hotels. It was not bad but the partition screen between the double bed area and the rest of the room was seriously knackered and made of straw (a bit like a beach mat). The room was fine but not exceptional. Breakfast was okay. Slightly expensive stay for what I thought it would be. I would still recommend this place for city breaks or business trips as long as it serves a purpose (location / apart'hotel) and you do not expect it to be charming (as it felt a bit soulless).

We stayed here for two nights, I really liked the kindness of the staff, the central and quiet position and the cleanliness of the room. My downs are for the single bed (when I booked I supposed to book two separate beds...maybe it's my fault) and the hole on the bath door that doesn't give you much privacy. Anyway if one day I'll come back to Bordeaux it could be that I'll be back to this hotel.

Booked an apartment for 3 nights and was very pleased. The reason why we went for an aparthotel is that my two year old son doesn't really do restaurants every evening - so we found the self-catering option very helpful - kitchenette has a large fridge, microwave and a two ring hob - could have done with an oven also but managed with saucepans and frying pans on the hob. Apartment was very big with sliding partitions to split the room up into private areas. Great, central location - in city centre and only 5 minute walk from shops and river. Staff very helpful and friendly. Apartment very modern and clean. Bordeaux a lovely city - like a small Paris without the crowds.

We stayed in Bordeaux for 2 nights on a Euro holiday. It was a real treat and the hotel was really very well located in the city. Its about 10mins walk from the main shopping district, 15 mins from the tourist office and there is also a mall right around the corner if you opt to go full self catering (which we did). If you want to save a couple of Euros then thats the way to go.

If you dont feel like walking...there is always the amazing tram system. A quick word on Bordeaux...it is truly a lovely, clean and well run city - everything just seems to work! When we return to France....we'd rather go back to visit Bordeaux and the surrounding towns and villages instead of Paris to be honest.

Back to the hotel: The service at the front desk was very professional and the staff was exteremely friendly. Although its self catering...they do serve breakfast.

The room itself was very modern, super clean and surpisingly large - it had a double bed and anoher single which also served as a couch. The kitchenette was well equipped with the usual necessities, like cutlery, pots, pans, stove, fridge and even a small dishwasher. The toilette and bathroom were seperate from each other. The bathroom itself was fully fitted - bath, shower etc. Also a very nice size - not at all cramped like some Euro hotel bathrooms. We were on the top floor and the view of the city was not spectacular...but still very nice.

The hotel also has a small gym, laundry and saunas if you require it.

Overall we were very impressed with this hotel. If you are looking for old, rustic, "French country side" feel in a hotel...then this isnt for you.

On the other hand...if you want a clean, efficient, modern and very well sized hotel room thats located very well in Bordeaux...look no further!!

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The apartment is big (we chose to pay few additional Euros to get one bedroom apartment) with all amenities and excellent hygiene. It's very well located (5 mins walking distance from the tram) and a minute from Gambetta square. All the major attractions and restaurants are within 15 mins walking distance. Rooms have wifi with excellent speed. Breakfast was not included in the tariff but plenty of great patisseries are just round the corner. Definitely worth the money. Will stay here whenever we are in Bordeaux next time.

Room Tip: If hotel rooms are too small and congested for you - definitely go for this option!

I went to Bordeaux for an extended bicycle trip in the St. Emillion region and needed a place to get through jet lag before heading out. I stayed here three nights and used the opportunity to explore the city of Bordeaux. I was upgraded to a larger room intended for three people, so it was very roomy. The room was clean and well appointed. The reception area was also very nice. I found the breakfast (10 Euro) to be a good value given the large assortment of breads, pastry, meats, cheeses, cereals, and juices to choose from.

The front desk staff speak English which was helpful for me.
