“I hate cats, and now I know why”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The menu is cheap, about 16 euros for entree plat et dessert, and there's a reason, it's terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The building is nice, the interior is fine, the service was good / prompt, and actually the entree I had with rabbit was good. The plat was horrible and the dessert was the worst I've had at a restaurant in France so far, it consisted of some not very good chocolate sauce with peanuts and rice cakes sprinkled on top (???). Apparently they've changed things relatively recently, so perhaps it used to be better. I will say that the wine we had was good, but I don't think we got proper pours, it felt like a bit of a rip off. The building looks promising and again, the service was good, but the food fell short. So many good restaurants in Strasbourg, don't waste time here.

“How do some restaurants stay in business!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

First impressions, this is a lovely old building full of character from the outside in the Krutenau area of Strasbourg. The interior decoration is very poor and so a disappointment from the start.
As for the food: Very over priced and forgettable. I would not recommend this restaurant or go back there.

“too much elaborated food, very very expensive and not suggested to vegetarians”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

the location is very very nice, a typical building with candles everywhere and everything nice. I'm really impressed by the place.
I think that in summer you could even enjoy the little garden outside.
Anyway, the menu is quite weird, everything is so elaborated that it's difficult even to choose and understand what you're gonna eat. There is no dish for vegetarians, so that, if you are, it's better if you choose another place.
The weitress was nice.
It's better if we don't talk about prices....absolutely not worth the dishes both in terms of quantity and taste. The dessert are nice, still too much elaborated in my opinion.
I had a nice dinner but just because of the company and I won't go there again. Even if they use 10000 ingredients in one dish, the restaurant remains.....tasteless.

“Good food in a simple and comfortable setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Both food and wine were very satisfying. Creative food simply presented. Wine was very well-priced and covered options for all of France. A highly recommended, out of the way spot. easy walk from the river.

“Charming setting and delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

This charming restaurant on a quiet side street is small and intimate, without being crowded in the least. Attractive, but simple, decor and perfect lighting for relaxed dining. The dining room has doors that open to a garden and although it was raining lightly while we were there, we could see that it would be a lovely setting outside in summer weather. The service was excellent, with two very capable servers who clearly knew what service was all about -- well-informed about the menu and not put off by questions, with quiet attention to detail that allows guests to enjoy their evening. The wine list was very good with fair prices. The food was delicious, prepared beautifully with perfect sized portions and lovingly set on the plates, imaginative but not contrived. The homemade caramels served after dinner were divine.
