I stayed here while visiting my daughter who was attending the University for her foreign study. This was a wonderful hotel. Great location, great service and beautiful rooms. Make sure you book ahead.. Stasbourg is one of the E.U. locations and can get filled up way in advance. I loved this wonderful city.
Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly and courteous. Hotel is located near all of the major tourist attractions (5 minute walk to Notre Dame and downtown Strasbourg). Room was cleaned every day along with fresh towels.

Only negative is that the hotel hallways and common areas reaked of cigarette smoke.

Stay here!
Booked online Dec 22 -28 for Christmas, our second week-long stay in Stras., but first in winter. Hotel location is perfect, converted from a stately family mansion. Stayed on 4th floor. Clean, quiet, non-smoking room with adjustable heat, nice view of cathedral and canal, bath with long tub, shower and bidet. Comfortable beds and pillows with crispy clean sheets. TV OK with French, German, Italian, English--did not use internet connection. Nice Sauna was available, but did not use. Multi-lingual staff were exceptionally nice, delightful and helpful with restaurant reservations, flight confirmations, etc. Breakfasts were excellent: yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold meats, cheeses, breads, fruit, juices, cereals, you name it, included in our package price, otherwise €18.

Minuses:
Room decor was nothing special, not classy as you might expect in a 4 Star hotel. "Gym" was a tiny closet with a practically un-useable bike and rower that were not worth exercising on. Walk around town every day instead--much nicer!

Winter weather!
We are used to the cold coming from coastal Maine, but Stras. is extremely damp and cold, without snow! Believe me on this--every day and night wear long silk underwear tops and bottoms, men and women! Wear nice Polartec or wool and jeans and warm boots (not shoes) and you will fit right in, even during the holidays. Take a warm hat, hood, scarf and gloves. We are in our 50's and mistakenly took only dress-up clothes!

P.S. If you ever have the chance to visit Stras. for Christmas--do--it's the most magical wonderland for kids and adults.

Hotel Regent Contades is in a useful position, between European Parliament and City center. Tram and buses are very near. I loved breakfast in a nice antique hall. Room was spacious and bathroom complete (I mean with bidet, for italians!). I spent 97 € per night for B&B (single occupance).
The only little things that could be improved in my room are the key (note electronic) and TV, a little bit old.
