I'm quite used to Mercure hotels on holiday trips.
This one was clean, well served, and a good breakfast.
However, we did find the bedroom very cramped, and I found it difficult to get out of bed to the bathroom. I would have been quite happy to pay more for a bigger room, but was not informed by the tour company that this was possible.
I agree with Adrian S - on getting a taxi back from the restaurant, we gave the address to the driver who replied " pres de la Gare ? ", which I confirmed, but when we were decanted found it to be a different Mercure - within walking distance, but not the point of a taxi !
