“a great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

We stayed in this Hotel for 4 days in May. I would certainly recommend it to all, great location, friendly staff and clean spacious rooms! There was plenty of food to choose from in the restaurant too. There's plenty to see so make sure you take comfortable walking shoes with you since the roads are mostly cobblestoned. I will definately return to The city of the roads !

This was a first visit to Strasbourg and I was bowled over by the Petit France area. The hotel could not have been better placed. It even has its own lock up garage opposite, so parking was no problem. As with many French hotels, the restaurant was closed on both Sunday and Monday, so we did not have the chance to sample the menu. Very helpful friendly staff. Would unhesitatingly recommend. We skipped the breakfast as this was very expensive for what it was. Instead we found a little patisserie nearby.

I stayed here for a week in August of 2012 while in France for business. It's is by far the best hotel in France if not all of Europe. The level of customer service is exceptional. The location can't be matched you can walk to everything. The Resturaunt is 5 star and has an incredible menu.

The staff looks after every tiny detail. Stay here if you want to be pampered!

Regent Petite France is by far one of the best choices in Strasbourg. It just couldn’t be located more perfectly (it is not “in” the heart of the Old Town, but “the” heart itself!). This alone should justify its high value-for-money ratio…

The front desk staff is great, very helpful and always smiling and the rooms are incredibly neat and spacious. Ours actually offered a large bathroom with a tub and a separate water closet (the latter, however, not fitted with a washbowl as it would have been normal). And, as they appear not to be soundproofed, the guests lodged in the rooms facing the water may be disturbed, in the serenity of the night, by a strange, constant rattle produced by a nearby torrent. We, on the other hand, found this water sound quite peaceful (probably owing to its evenness) and, even if annoyed, wouldn’t have waived the privilege of enjoying the great canal view!

The common spaces are, however, not out of ordinary, yet very clean and modernly fitted. They have even tried to show off the mechanisms running atop the sluice placed underneath the front lobby by encapsulating them in a neon-colored glass case. Nevertheless, some might find this weird, rusty, scaled device laying in the middle of the lobby not quite in line with the elegance that is intended to characterize the rest of the space.

The breakfast is not particularly rich but well balanced and tasteful.

The bar has a great terrace, positioned right on the water, so you can enjoy the Batoramas passing by and the crowd swarming the banks, amid spectacular old buildings, while sipping a glass of champagne. Anyway, the selection of beverages is rather inadequate. And, while the restaurant serves some nice repasts (although you could eat better in many places throughout the city), we found its secondary personnel (as well as that of the bar) to be somewhat clumsy, not living up to a 4-star hotel’s expectations.

All the same, the icing on the cake is given by the nice surprises left each day through the room by the cleaning ladies (be they cookies, flowers or small cardboards informing you about the weather forecasts for the next day… By the way, should it rain, you can always find a couple of umbrellas by the front door).

All in all, Regent Petite France is a phenomenal experience and should not be missed.

Loveliest location in the city. Polished staff, great attitude thourghout. Happy people; must have a great g.m!
Room, second floor overlooking the water, large, more a jr. suite than a bedroom. Quiet, luminous, neat as a pin.
Did not do the f&b offerings.
Next visit in Strasbourg for us will be Hotel Regent Petite France.

Room Tip: 201, 202 and up. Perfect.
