We - a family of four - lived at the hotel two nights and was placed in "building two" at the lower floor. The corridor smelled damp and when we came into the room we could smell that the building probably struggling with some damb problems. Furniture and the bathroom was fine and nice, but the room was a bit small. There was no floor space left, with four beds in the room. The view from the window was "nothing".

We had read all the reviews here and had not yet read about people who had lived in the building two. We can not recommend this building. The hotel was full so we could not move into the "main building".

The staff were nice and friendly and breakfast facilities were very nice.

Overall, however, we regret that we were going to stay here two days. A single would have been better.

We stayed here with two toddlers visiting the town my family had once come from. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and the kids even scored a little stuffed toy each. The room was quite acceptible, but the bathroom was a little 'tired'.

The worn out exterior was not quite what we expected from Australian Novotels, but the inside made up for it (although we had to get them to come and change a lightbulb as soon as we got there). The hotel is located right on the edge of town (about 10mins drive out) next to an airstrip. We were a little concerned, but only heard one plane in the early evening. When we left the next day there was a group of parachutists getting ready for a jump.

Breakfast was a bit expensive (but to be expected at a Novotel!) but there was a huge range to choose from - lots of breads, cold cuts, fruit and yummy smoothies!

Would we go back? Maybe. It wasn't an amazing hotel, but met our needs for the night. I'd maybe try somewhere else, but no real reason why!

Though we stayed only one night in this busy Novotel, the staff made us feel like we were on the top of the list. They were great, friendly and helpful. The manager even gave our children toys which they loved.

The hotel itself has been recently updated on the interior. The rooms are fairly large, modern and comfortable. The lobby in small but nice with a play area for children, and the restaurant looks very nice (though we didn't utilize it). The hotel pool was nice, clean and had plenty of room and chairs to relax. The hotel is a short drive from the canals, restaurants and walks of the old part of Colmar, and it made for a nice one night stop on drive through France.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Italy. I telephoned when we were about an hour away and luckily they had a room, the young lady was very helpful and very pleasant on our arrival. The room was large enough for 3 of us. We were going to stay there on our return journey but somehow our Tomtom took us a different way back. Our room looked out over a private airfield and we saw small aircraft taking off, and had mountains in the distance. The hotel had a small but nice outdoor pool which we didnt have time to use but perhaps next time. Would stay here again, the hotel is only 5-10mins drive from the centre of Colmar and it felt very safe and I like the fact the room was so clean and modern. As we booked late we didnt get any room deals so had to pay 120 euros for the room only which was not the best price but next time I would book it in advance as I would feel confident the room would be of a good quality.
