This was the best food we ate in 3 days in Colmar. Run by a couple, their menu is imaginative, the cooking exceptional. The owner knows everything about the wines of the region and she is delightful. We had for our 3 entrees scallops in mango sauce, ris de veau, and lanostino over monkfish. All three were excellent and beautifully prepared. The place is small--only seating about 30 people maximum and the decor is from the owners' limitless collections of old toys, old watches, old garden buckets--old anything (a sign says "we buy all old things"). But it doesn't seem crowded as everything is beautifully arranged. She served each of us a complimentary dessert wine at the end of our meal. We were lucky to find this place, but don't expect traditional Alsatian cuisine--this is a good restaurant with a great chef.
