“If a greek restaurant serves burnt pitta bread, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the meal”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

We ordered the Mega Metze at £23 per person. In the starters, the tarmasalata was substituted (with no apology) for that other well known greek dish - salza! The pitta was burned black in places and some of it was burned solid.
The response to my compaint was that they would replace it but they did not seem at all surprised that they had sent out burnt bread. In the second course the Keftedes and Dolmades were pleasant enough but the rest of the meal was tasteless and seemed to have been either cooked for far too long or nuked in a micorwave until ruined. We complained again and were offfered a replacement but frankly really didn't want o subject ourselves to any more of their food.
I asked for the bill having cancelled the third course. We were charged full price and the manager made it quite clear that he did not care that we were unhappy with the meal . So £50 spent for a bit of humous, a meat ball and a stuffed vine leaf - oh and not forgeting the salza of course. There are some brilliant restaurants in Manchester - go to one of them instead of here. The food at Rozafa is nearly as poor as the manager;s attitude.

“Friendly service, lovely food. Good value menus available. Cater to parties with live music at the weekend.”

Partner & I ate a mid-afternoon meal (4p.m.) so the restaurant was quiet. Service was prompt and friendly but not pushy, food was nice, good Turkish meat dishes.

“Another lovely buffet at Efes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

I went today to Efes, with two friends, had a lovely turkish buffet meal, starting with a gorgeous turkish vegetable soup, then loads of different starters including stuffed vine leaves, lamb ribs, kofta's, various main courses, and chicken pliau rice amongst Pizza's and various main courses, and lots of salad items, very healthy, finished off with melon, turkish delight(What else) and various gateux's and fruit if you wished/

Lunchtime buffet is a bargain, at £6.90, £5.90 after 2pm, such variety and good value.

“Authentic food; fantastic atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

I went here for my hen do, with 20 others, and had a fantastic time. The staff were great, they had everyone up dancing to the live Greek band and were very patient and helpful with our large group. There was a fab party atmosphere! The food did take a while to arrive (but that is to be expected with a large group on a busy saturday night) but it was absolutely fantastic, everyone I was really impressed and several are planning to go back. The food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The prices were very reasonable too. The best Greek food I've had outside of Greece! I can't wait to go back!
