“Nice place but poor food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

I visited wit a party of 5 and had an enjoyable evening of dancing in the lively club.

I am only reviewing the 'restaurant' here. The service is excellent, the drinks are good and surprisingly inexpensive. However the food is poor quality, although it is quite inexpensive it seems to consist of quite small portions of poor quality food. We has both the tapas and some of the main courses; I would descible the tapas as Iceland quality and for example of a main, teh chilli cocisted is a bowl of rice with a thin layer of sauce on top.

This is a geat place catering for small to large gropups and would benefit from a quality food offering alongside the 'party food'.

“Fantastic for salsa dancing and a night with a difference!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

I have been to Copacabana many times as I love salsa dancing! This club/restaurant has a great Latin atmosphere that welcomes everyone - salsa veterans or those new to the whole scene and who want to try something different. The whole place is on one floor and really well decorated with Aztec motifs and Cuban salsa references. There are two dance floors and two bars and is a great spot for a hen night or any kind of party. On Fridays, the music tends to cater more for the salsa lovers, whereas Saturday is the best night for those who like Latin music with a more commercial flavour - ideal for everyone. You find a huge mix of nationalities in here - something which is not common anywhere else. It really is a great vibe and full of smiling faces! There is also a secure cloakroom on arrival and the entrance if you are not eating is five pounds.
I have never eaten here so I can't comment on the food, but this place really is for Latin music lovers or those who want to have a night with a difference and are bored of the usual 'sameness' of clubs and bars these days.
One thing is for sure, the bar is growing as a brand and now sells it's own mugs hahaha. The club has been around for 20 years and is a long established favourite with salseros in the North West.
If you're a salsero, this is for you. If not, try it, you might like it!

“Good fun but as soon as you've eaten get out!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

The salsa class was good fun and the food was okay.. worst part was after eating the place turns into a Latino style salsa nightclub full of people constantly scouting the room for dance partners which is fine if u have any sense of rhythm but for me it was a little uncomfortable, was good watching some amazing dancing though!!
